A carefully designed symbol embodies a company’s unique values. Recognizable, memorable icons and logos are inseparable from marketing and communication via technology, where symbolic shorthand—emojis—app icons—is the mother tongue.

The Video Game & Computer Science Museum of Berlin, renamed and redefined as a cutting-edge recreation and interactive tech-development hub. I drew from the sciences, and from toys—for fantasy, excitement and the competitive fun of gaming.

MOOD MORE THAN WORDS

Emotional reactions often occur before factual information gets processed. The logo to the left is an early design for the unisex subscription cosmetics box Soot, a brand I created that is geared towards individualism, self expression and rebellion of standard norms. The mood is bold, imperfect, and suggests decadence and organic substances resembling personal care products.

The brainstorming and designing process for Soot, a subscription cosmetics brand that caters to diverse clientele, involved many iterations of the nature of the products to enhance and enchant—with ease.
